International Expert of the Year 2025 Award will be held for the 14th time on a country-wide scale. The award winners and their projects will receive the federal level of recognition.
The purpose of the 14th Expert of the Year 2025 Award is to recognise leaders who have implemented breakthrough ideas and significant public initiatives in business. In contrast to the ratings of top executives and well-known media personalities, the Expert of the Year Award is dedicated to non-public people, on whose work the future depends. The winners of the Expert of the Year Award are both mature experts and young professionals who have made a name for themselves with high-profile projects in business, politics, medicine, culture, charity and other areas of business and public life. The annual Expert of the Year Award has traditionally become an open platform for recognising experts in the most relevant fields of business and public life in Russian regions and other countries.

- IndustryNominated are the individuals and expert groups who in 2023-24 implemented solutions that have reduced production costs or strengthened the market position.3
- Finance and InvestmentsNominated are the individuals and expert groups who do business in the financial sector (banks, insurance and leasing companies, investment funds).4
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) and IT technologiesNominated are the individuals and expert groups implementing projects in the field of AI and IT (including in the cyber security segment), introducing innovations into industry, developing industry scientific and technical potential and telecommunications.5
- Urban studies, Architecture, Construction and DevelopmentNominated are the individuals and expert groups who conduct their business in the field of urbanism, architecture, construction and development. Major investment and construction projects that are changing the socio-economic and technological landscape of the place of presence. Experts who are engaged in the development and implementation of projects related to the formation of a high-quality environment for living in urban or rural areas are also nominated.6

- Economics of State and Municipal ManagementNominated are the state and municipal employees implementing projects in the field of state and municipal management, employees of law enforcement agencies and supervisory authorities. Employees of military structures, law enforcement agencies and regulatory authorities who have implemented comprehensive projects that improve the lives and ensure the safety of citizens or introduce scientific and technical innovations to increase the technological sovereignty of the country and the world are also invited to participate.12
- Developing the Country's potentialNominated are the government officials such as ministers, governors, heads of large government departmental structures who have made a significant contribution to the development of the region of presence, attracting investments, including international ones, changing the socio-economic landscape of the country, as well as GR specialists whose projects have had a significant impact on the quality of interaction between business, executive authorities and municipalities.13

The Expert Council of the Award is composed of prominent representatives of business, science, public and cultural institutions, authorities. Each year, regional experts and federal officials are invited to join the Council. According to a longstanding tradition, the Council is headed by Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky.
